TransForm's Summit

LEARN - CONNECT - ACT

Please note that TransForm will NOT hold a Summit in 2010 as we have launched a new lineup of events.

Chris Schildt

The Summit brings together over 300 people to learn, connect, aDarryl Moorend act: from interested residents and community activists to nonprofit leaders and policymakers.

It's a great place to learn and get inspired about all kinds of issues: public transportation, housing, walking, bicycling, social justice, health, smart growth, and community planning.

TransForm's 2009 Summit a Success!

The 2009 Summit focused on the critical role of transportation and land use in the health of our economy, pocketbooks, and planet - and highlighted solutions that can help on all three fronts. Todd Smith

We had an incredible keynote speakerScott Bernstein from the Center for Neighborhood Technology in Chicago presented fascinating findings on the combined cost of housing andScott Bernstein transportation in the Bay Area that showed that the things we're all fighting for save people and governments money.  You can watch Scott's speech on our YouTube channel.

Despite a scorching hot day, we had a strong turnout - and a lot of people who got to launch water balloons at Stuart Cohen as a reward for signing up for the Car-Free Challenge
