so happy to be home!

I have some great ideas for LA transit:

1. sell day passes on the bus!

2. run past 8 pm

3. free ice cream for all riders

If LA Metro transit can't handle numbers one and two, I understand.

I did great yesterday!  zero miles in a car and I went ALL over Hollywood on the bus and on my bike and on the metro!

Today I did okay.  I spent the night at a friend's bed and breakfast.  Josh met me there, so in the morning he was driving home and I was also going home, but of course I had my bike there.  So, I had a bit of a dilemma.  Should I throw my bike in the back of Josh's truck? Or bike and take the bus?  I rode with Josh.  I know it cost me miles, but it just seemed silly to take an extra hour to get home when he had to drive exactly in that direction anyway!  So we stopped for lunch, which is when I realized that my purse was missing from my backpack!  I had left it at our friends' place!  so We had to drive back there!  doubling the miles!  I could never leave my purse if I was driving because I'd need my car keys!

Then I bikes and bussed all over Studio City today, but I got a ride home tonight because it didn't feel safe to bike home.  My friends were really worried about me, so I accepted a ride and it was pretty nice to get a lift, to be honest.  It only cost me 2 miles because it was a car pool.  Altogether today: 7.5.  Not as bad as I thought, but it would have been more like 5 if not for that stupid purse incident!

I rode the 761 Rapid from

I rode the 761 Rapid from Sherman Oaks to Westwood yesterday morning. Didn't expect to be out til past 8pm but I was, and got dropped off at the bus stop in time to catch the last run back to the Valley. I won't lie. This was kinda more trouble than if I'd just driven, but I swear I will make my mileage goal haha!!!
