the transit wagon

I fell off of it.  I'm sorry!  It got so freaking hard, once i had that audition in Santa Monica and then it was my 4 year anniversary with my boyfriend and we wanted to go to a dodger game cause that's where we went on our first date!  I haven't exceeded my miles, but I sorta stopped keeping track for a few days!

I have still been riding my bike and taking the bus a lot, but I have also driven.

I need to sit down and really try to figure out where I am at mileage-wise, because maybe it isn't as bad as I think.  I've been avoiding it though. I feel guilty.

It's just that if you miss a bus, or accidentally read the Saturday schedule instead of Monday through Friday, then you will be an hour late for something.

AND I feel like I haven't been able to get things done because if I run two errands on my bike it feels like that takes up my whole day.

If I meet a friend out and use the bus that tacks on an extra hour and a half at least.  I don't want my doing this challenge to burden my friends.  Always make them meet in my neighborhood.

I hope all of you who live in Nor.Cal. appreciate your transit.   It is so frustrating here!

Sorry I've been neglecting the challenge.  I am back on the transit wagon now.  I'm going to tally my miles and I am going to press on.  I just had a bit of a setback.

Hope everyone else is fairing better!

PS I just went and read some people's comments from my last blog (about a week ago) and they were so encouraging and thoughtful!  Thanks you guys so much!  I hope I didn't let anyone down.  I won't give up.  Less than two weeks left!

Oh my gosh!  I know I'm

Oh my gosh!  I know I'm commenting on my own blog, but I just added up all my miles!  It was really hard to recall where I had gone on some of the days but I think I am at 175 miles!  And that includes my 2 big days that I can choose to delete!  I am totally gonna make it!

WOHOO!!!!  I love this

WOHOO!!!!  I love this post!  I've been having the same feeling, but maybe it's time I sit down and do the math and I'll be pleasantly surprised.

You should get extra credit for doing this in LA.

We're all rooting for you!

We're all rooting for you! And reading your blogs has definitely made me appreciate the decent transportation system up north (but being able to supplement public transportation with a bike really helps).

I agree with Leila! I think
