Monthly Theme Ideas

Take advantage of the Thanksgiving Season of Giving and organize a food drive. You can request a Food Bin from your local food bank, and pass out quarter-sheet flyers that say:

As walkers and rollers, you are giving back to your community and yourselves in the form of cleaner air and a healthier you.  Let's contribute toward an even healthier community by donating a can of food to those who are less fortunate than you. Bring your canned food to the office during the week of --.  You can also contribute your spare change here to the Alameda Food Bank, which feeds those in need during this season.
