Already Over My Challenge Amount

Why Walk Oakland Bike Oakland (WOBO)?

I get this question all the time, "How do you live without a car?" This car-free challenge is one way I'm telling my story.

I truly enjoy learning about where I live.  I've lived in and traveled many places and have learned the most intimate details about them by walking and biking around (no, Wiki doesn't come close).  I also got really poor going to grad school and ditched my most disposable expense, le auto. Like a bad relationship, once the car went, I had little desire to get it back.  More on this later.
