Transportation Funding

For too long, transportation funding has primarily focused on only one way of getting around: the car.  The federal government currently spends about 80% of transportation dollars on roads.

We need our roads - and bridges - to be kept in good shape.  But we also need a world-class rail and public transportation network that offers people real choices in how they get around and supports places that require less driving.

TransForm is working at the regional (Bay Area), state, and federal level to ensure dramatically more funding goes towards creating world-class public transportation and walkable communities.
