We had a great time hanging out with all you rabble-rousers and hellraisers! We can’t wait to do it again next year!
Transform annual fundraising event celebrates community visionaries at the intersection of housing and transportation who are tackling climate change through a lens of equity and mobility.
We’ll have amazing food and drinks from NIDO’s BackYard, one-of-a-kind Transform tees and totes, printed on the spot and only available at the event, music, and an exciting program of advocates and leaders, movers and shakers in the Bay Area and beyond.
This year’s awards go to:
Barnali Ghosh, newly elected BART Director and former Transform board member, brings her long history of working to connect housing, equity, climate goals, and pedestrian/bike safety to city transportation policies to BART leadership.
David Cota, a senior community organizer with EBALDC, who supports community leaders to develop their skills, partnered with us on our Mobility Hubs site at Lion Creek Crossings in East Oakland.
Edith Figueroa, whose work at First Community Housing empowers residents and connects them to vital resources, including Transform’s Mobility Hubs pilot at Betty Ann Gardens in San Jose.
Victor Flores, East Bay Resilience Manager at Greenbelt Alliance and newly elected BART Director serving District 7, is committed to advancing policies that promote climate resilience, preserve open space, and create more housing near transit and jobs.
This year, our featured speaker is former Berkeley mayor and newly elected State Senator Jesse Arreguin. Senator Arreguin is leading the call for $2 billion for transit in this year’s state budget and a new regional transit funding measure for the Bay Area.
